Where women cut finger in the name of tradition

We surprised by hearing  some indigenous traditions and customs of the world. Although the World human community is still unsure modern era, the indigenous are still living in old age, where following their own customs and traditions. But such a strange painful system is following in Dani indigenous of   Papua, Indonesia. In this indigenous community all the family member have to cut off their finger if the main man of their  family died as well as face should coated by soil. If done so , it is believe that spirit of  dead body  get peace in heaven . Before cut of a finger there should be tied for 30 minutes then cut it  and after dried  it should be burned. Although  the government has imposed restriction on a few year ago to this tradition but they are not ready to live this tradition. Until now women are forced to cut off finger there.
